Once you start to use larger amounts of rennet, annatto and calcium chloride syringes are very useful rather than the drop by drop method, giving precise measurements.
Of course not restricted to cheesemaking. I keep a couple in the kitchen for feeding baby birds and hedgehog emergencies, also useful for worming small mammals such as puppies and kittens.

Description
Syringes with a clear barrel for the perfect reading of syringe contents. This syringe is easy to use for accurate measurements of rennet, calcium chloride, annatto. Of course not restricted to cheesemaking. I keep a couple in the kitchen for feeding baby birds and hedgehog emergencies, also useful for worming small mammals such as puppies and kittens.
Please don’t dispose of these syringes after a single use. Instead clearly mark them as to their previous use to enable you to reuse them numerous times. The syringe you use for annatto will be easily recognised by the staining. Definitely use separate, dedicated syringes for white, blue and red mould ripened cheese, to avoid cross contamination
Cleaning before storage. Suck and release with hot soapy water several times. Take apart and rinse thoroughly in hot water, then place somewhere to drain and dry. Before use, immerse in boiling water for a couple of seconds.
Special silicon lubrication ensures the plunger moves smoothly and evenly up and down while in use.
These Syringes have a retaining ring prevents accidental plunger rod withdrawal. For measuring larger quantities of rennet, calcium chloride and annatto, rather than the drop by drop method from a nozzle bottle.
** Annatto tends to stain everything it touches, so a dedicated syringe just for annatto is a good idea **
